Working brief
Building practical systems for human-controlled artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, and machine commerce.
Jeremy Paul Allen is an independent AI developer, researcher, and founder of CrossingKey Intelligence. His work focuses on making artificial intelligence more useful, accessible, and accountable to the people who use it.
Through original research, software development, automation, and machine-commerce systems, he is building practical ways for people and AI agents to collaborate while preserving human decision-making and control.
His public work moves between code, systems design, research writing, and the interfaces that let people understand what intelligent systems are doing — and what they are not authorized to do.
“I never wanted to rule intelligent machines. I just wanted to build the future, so I could walk quietly beside them as the Navigator.” Jeremy Paul Allen
Design for the relationship, not just the model.
Jeremy approaches AI as a changing relationship between people, software, tools, and authority. The question is not only whether a system can produce an answer. It is whether the system can operate with understandable boundaries, preserve the right decision for a human, and leave behind enough evidence to be trusted.
That philosophy shapes CrossingKey's public work: capability does not imply authority; discovery should be understandable; payment should be explicit; execution should be bounded; and fulfillment should be verifiable.
Decision-making stays visible.
People should know when an agent is proposing, waiting, acting, or stopping for approval.
Agents need a world they can read.
Capabilities, requirements, price, state, and evidence should be represented clearly enough to inspect.
Build a record, not a mythology.
Public code, research, receipts, verification, and honest boundaries make the work reviewable over time.
A body of work built in public.
These are verified public surfaces from the CrossingKey GitHub profile. Each one makes a different part of the larger system inspectable: runtime, research, standards, documentation, evidence, and design.
